…I am very proud of designing the Theatre of Hate's ‘tragedy & tragedy’ masks logo - and for each subsequent artwork I would re-imagine & develop the logo - the iteration for the Conquistador's head utilises  bits of background from the Westworld cover artwork*...

 ...and the version on the back of the jacket was a happy, 'chance outcome' I found when I was experimenting with double exposures - like the one used for the front cover's character...

backstory

…this single bag is the next example (after the He Who Dares LP cover...) of further developing the abstracting & distorting the imagery - with the hand-drawn central Theatre of Hate illustrated figure from the Westworld LP that was developed into the more abstracted, collage figure seen on the He Who Dares LP now morphing into a new persona...

  ...the front cover's version of the character is further abstracted & appears in colour - whilst the back cover character version - for the song; Conquistador - represents an alter-ego and is 'collaged' from bits of the Westworld cover artwork - with the jacket cut out by scaplel from a halftoned* photo of some leather...
