...this was the first time I was briefed by their then manager, the redoubtable Terry Razor, coming into the art department saying he needed a single bag - it turned out to be the start of wonderful run of being given 'carte blanche' to design record covers for them that inspired me to do some my best work -stuff that I'm still very proud of to this day...
...incidentally, the back cover is made from a print of the front cover cut up into shards - all taken from the instruction manual of the 'posh' new Sony Trinitron TV I'd just got as I was desperate to replace my standard rented TV (from Radio Rentals ironically..!) that were clunky, lo-res and all had hiddeously orange skin tones..!
...this was the first cover I did for what was soon to become the Theatre of Hate...
...I did 3 covers for 'The Pack' - more formally known as Kirk Brandon & the Pack of Lies - when I was first getting used to using using a newly-aquired professional studio Process Camera* - which enabled me to combine hand-drawn line illustrations & hand-made textures with photo-mechanically created & altered graphic elements - that could then be collaged together to make the all-important artwork* for the printers to be able to print a record cover...
